THIS WEEK'S QUESTION COMES FROM
SCM.
Question: hi ,DANNY,What
does the phrase "hardhead" mean?
DANNY SAYS: Hello SCM!
You ask such interesting questions, so I know you
are not a hard head!
When we call someone a "hardhead" we can
mean two different things:
1) They are very dumb and stupid.
2) They are very stubborn.
If we use it as a noun, we say "hardhead",
but when we say someone is "hardheaded",
it becomes an adjective.
So, if I thought someone was stupid, I could call
them a "hardhead". This is not so nice though.
Also, if your boss is stubborn, you can say, "My
boss is so hardheaded and won't give my salary a raise!"
Wooohooo! Ask me more questions! I love English!

Bob: Will your uncle mind if I marry your cousin?
Sue: If so then I will add you to my family tree.

Bob: Which one?
Sue: The one on your mother's side.
Bob: She was there, and she looked as young as my sibling.
