Increased Frequency On Existing Routes To Offer Greater Choice

Qatar Airways has announced a raft of new destinations being launched over the next few months – including the airline’s first move into the US market – and increased frequency on existing routes. This frequency for Summer 2007 flying season makes your journey from Shanghai / Beijing to our destinations be more convenient.

Qatar Airways increases frequency on the following routes from March 25, the start of the Summer 2007 flying season:

Launches New Internet Booking Engine

Qatar Airways has launched its new Internet Booking Engine allowing passengers anywhere in the world to search for a Qatar Airways flight across the whole network, book and pay online and have tickets issued automatically through its website www.qatarairways.com

One of the unique features of the new site is the lowest fare finder facility, which displays different flight options across a wide range of dates.

As a bonus to book online, members of Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club loyalty programme will receive an extra 500 Qmiles. Non-Privilege Club Passengers can also get Qatar Airways souvenir gifts at the check-in counter at airport.

The new booking engine offers online credit card payments and customers can choose to collect a paper ticket at Qatar Airways Beijing and Shanghai office, or receive an electronic ticket confirmation to their email address, issued instantly 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week upon confirming bookings.


 

Oryx Entertainment Brings You a Taste of The Oscars Onboard Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways presented a great line-up of previous and current Oscar- winning movies, as part of the airline’s extensive in-flight entertainment package.

Three of the five Best Picture nominations for 2007 were shown on board, including Little Miss Sunshine, The Queen and winner, The Departed. To complement the Oscar movie theme, the March edition of Oryx Entertainment, the Five-star airline’s in-flight entertainment magazine, featured an Oscars special, and highlighted all of the Academy Award-winning movies, including Best Picture winners over the past few years such as Titanic and Forrest Gump.

Passengers will find details of the Oscar movies available in the ‘Oscar Winners Season’ section. The magazine also details programming for over 80 movies, 70 TV shows and 16 music channels, as well as more than 300 music CDs from popular and classical artists in a stylish and easy-to-use guide.
