Party at Presidential Plaza Hotel Beijing
The Presidential Plaza Hotel Beijing did a first
for Beijing with their "One World, One
Christmas" Olympic theme throughout the
hotel. This theme proved very popular and over
600 guests celebrated their 2006 Christmas Eve
in the hotel. The hotel's Grand Ballroom and
Four Seasons Roof Garden glowed with dozens
of festive lanterns and crystal snowflakes danced
on the walls adding to the festive, white Christmas
atmosphere. Distinguished guests sipped imported
wines and nibbled on a wide array of international
culinary creations while enjoying the evening's
exclusive entertainment program. Lucky draw
prizes, drawn by the Hotel's Management Team
made the evening even more exciting with guests
winning overseas airline trips to Hawaii or
other USA cities and a sea voyage cruise. |

The Presidential Plaza Hotel
Beijing officially kicked off the 2006
Christmas Season with their annual traditional
Tree Lighting Ceremony in the beautiful
Atrium Lobby Lounge on November 26th.
More than 100 guests sipped complimentary
gluehwein and eggnog, nibbled on Christmas
log and cinnamon cookies while enjoying
a children's choir's classic Christmas

On December 9, 2006, the Presidential Plaza
Hotel Beijing held its year-end customer appreciation
party with a romantic Italian theme "A
Night in Sophia's". The party kicked off
with the launch of the newly renovated "Sophia's"
Italian Restaurant on the second floor of the
hotel. Distinguished guests sipped imported
Italian wines and nibbled on a wide selection
of authentic Italian food created by Italian
Chef Marino D' Antonio, who comes from Milan
while enjoying classical Italian cultural performances.

announced the appointment of Marino D'Antonio
as Sophia's Italian Restaurant's Chef
De Cuisine. A native of Milan, D'Antonio
is brings over twenty years extensive
experience in fine Italian cuisine to
Sophia's. Prior to joining the Presidential
Plaza Hotel Beijing, D'Antonio was the
Italian Chef on the Silver Cloud, a 6
stars vessel that belongs to Silversea
Cruises, the world's best small ship cruise
line. Sophia's is open for lunch and dinner
seven days a week and Marino is often
seen chatting with his guest about their
favorite dish and the merits of his food. |
