Gangchens come in an abundance of floral designs, all in brilliant colors. The most pervasive floral design in Tibet is the Lotus which is a Buddhist metaphor of human potential. The Lotus grows out of mud, yet in spite of its origin, it attains perfection. The Lotus, therefore, is not only a symbol of beauty, but also of hope.
